London Mosaic Classes.

Adult Mosaic Classes Summer 2013

004 (2)002

For the past year, I have been teaching Adult Mosaic Classes at Acland Burghley School in North London. The courses have been very successful with each one being over subscribed. I am hoping to be able to teach 2 classes there a week, one for beginners and one for the more experienced. I am also going to be running adult courses at Zebra Ceramics in Muswell Hill and The Brand New Start Gallery in Crouch in the near future. Approximate cost of £125 for a 6 week course of 2 hour sessions, includes equipment and materials. More details to follow.  If you or anyone else is interested in attending a course, please contact me: sally@sallykendallmosaics.
I also now have a meetup group called London Mosaic Classes, please join!

Sally Kendall is a highly accomplished and well respected Mosaic Artist. She is based in London but has worked nation-wide as well as internationally. By combining her wealth of experience and variety of skills she has generated a network of new and loyal clients. Sally is a professional member of  BAMM (British Association of Modern Mosaicists). Her work is featured on the website and also in a variety of  publications. Having been commissioned by Interior Designers, Architects, Property Developers, Local Councils and peers of the realm, work has included; portraits, murals, bathrooms, kitchens, fireplaces, swimming pools, 3D sculptures and wall hangings.

Mosaics can be created to for a specific environment or a structure that already exists. Designs are created to fit the client’s brief and then an everyday structure can become a unique piece of art that not only speaks volumes about a place or product but will also add value to a property.

After being commissioned to mosaic the bar front of The Orwell Bar in Islington, She went on to be the sole exhibiting artist there for a year. A selection of  her work is currently being exhibited at The Woodman in Highgate.

She is also a qualified and experienced Art Teacher and has managed and delivered Mosaic projects in over 50 schools to date  plus various Pupil Referral Units and communities. She creates not only an exciting and educational experience for all those involved but also lasting, dazzling artwork for all to admire for years to come.

Mosaics can either be made in situ or in her studio to be installed later. They are weatherproof and durable, made with a variety of materials including: ceramics, vitreous glass, marble and mirror. This ancient craft is as popular today as it was thousands of years ago and Sally produces beautiful and vibrant mosaics by combining the classical and contemporary.
